I wrote for over an hour today
8-9 pages
passed like a hearbeat
from my brain
down through my fingers
and on to the page

which he has translated into several languages
hanging on several walls of the locker room

something about a stone cutter
laboring for years
on a mountain

after the hundredth stroke
he hears a crack
but he knows that it is the first stroke
and every other after
and up until
that created that breakthrough

crack!
finally my first children's book
is being born
